Its food and folklore. When we talk about culinary art, San Miguel has restaurants from all nationalities: more than seventy cozy places to satisfy the most exigent palates always with fair at reasonable prices.

 

In the afternoons, and nights the people of San Miguel gather around the Garden or principal Plaza o enjoy corns, cotton candies, different kind of tacos, a wide variety of fresh fruits and authentic home- made ice cream, balloons of lots of colors and many other things in the company of mariachis that begin to play at night at nine o’clock.

Its Culture. For those who enjoy Archeology, San Miguel has marvelous museums and ancient ruins of the Chichimecas and Olmecas very well preserved.  Two of the most important Cultural centers are: The cultural center “El Nigromate” where you can learn and improve in the art areas as painting, dancing,  sculpture,  photography   and  music among others. And the “Instituto Allende” that offers courses in jewelry, sculpture, idioms, painting, etc. and all with academic recognition in Universities all over the world.
